Tom, Dick and Harry

Once upon a time there lived three creatures named Tom, Dick, and Harry. They were the pinnacle of creature-technology. As time went by, their technology became obsolete, and many clones of Tom, Dick and Harry with slight improvements, tinkering, and modification followed. With many clones came many other clones, multiplying in numbers by hundreds, thousands, millions and beyond. As more time passed, it became apparent that the countless improvements, tinkering, and modification were not the answer. This idea of constant modification in creature-technology only encouraged unnecessary quantities of clone creatures with useless skills, and thus a useless entity. In a state of panic, all creatures had been reset, and once again the world was occupied by the mere three: Tom, Dick and Harry. They were the pinnacle of creature-technology.
